Meet Our Parish Staff

Fr. Roger Durand

Pastor

Fr. Roger is the founding pastor of Saint Patrick Catholic Church. He was ordained a Catholic deacon and priest. He was educated at Our Lady of Providence Preparatory Seminary and then at Saint John’s Seminary achieving an AB degree in philosophy. Finally, he completed his ministerial education at Providence College, under the Dominican Fathers, and achieved a Master’s degree in Pastoral Ministry. In addition to his duties at church, Fr. Roger is retired from secular employment. This provided him a broader view to the realities of everyday living and a deep compassion for the struggles of everyday people. Fr. Roger receives no income from his parish work, which is accomplished for the greater glory of God.

Noel Sanchez

Deacon

Noel was born in Phoenix, AZ and raised in El Salvador. He returned to the U.S. to study at Columbia International University in South Carolina where he completed a BS degree in biblical studies with a minor in pastoral ministry. Noel was ordained a Catholic deacon, and he served at St. Michael’s Church in Middletown, RI for eight years before coming to Saint Patrick Catholic Church in 2013. Deacon Noel is involved in secular employment and is the owner of Casa Buena Builders, Inc. He has been married for more than thirty years to his wife Elizabeth, is the father of six grown children, and grandfather to nine grandchildren.

Felicia Baker

Music Director

Felicia graduated from the University of Rhode Island with honors, receiving a BA in Vocal in performance and a minor in German and Philosophy in 2016. While studying at URI, she had the opportunity to study opera in Munich, Germany after receiving the Pressor Award in Musical Excellence and the Dr. James Ladwig Award for excellence in music history. She also placed first in her division multiple times in the Rhode Island Chapter of the National Association of Teachers of Singing. She continues her passion for music by pursuing a stage career, primarily in opera, as well as programming music that emphasizes the teachings of the readings.
