Our parish is unusual in that we derive the majority of our income from three distinct sources:
First, from the offerings received from our over 200 registered parishioners, as well as donations made by our many visitors. In addition, from the gifts we receive for sacramental services provided to parishioners and friends.
Second, from the proceeds of sales of religious items offered to people around the world through the acclaimed venue of eBay. We have been registered with Ebay since 1999. We are a charitable seller under their “Missionfish” program. We sell under the name ” Catholic Auctions”. This income, net of expenses, provides for the payment of parish expenses.
Third, from income derived from special gifts made to the parish from concerned individuals, within the greater Providence community, who remain concerned that an “alternate” Catholic voice remains a beacon of hope to people longing for acceptance.
Saint Patrick Catholic Church is a registered not-for-profit Corporation established within the laws of the State of Rhode Island.
Our property is owned by our parish. We are responsible for our own support. Financial updates are available weekly in the parish bulletin and may be reviewed online on the Downloads and Information page of this site.
This parish operates in transparency and honesty and curtails unnecessary expenses exercising proper stewardship of all resources and offerings received.
