Outreach
Since the very first Mass
was offered at St. Patrick Catholic Church, social outreach to
the greater community has been a priority. If we are to receive
our support from our community, it is important to give back
from what we receive as well. Its biblical, its sound and
its important.
Presently, this
parish gives 10% of offerings to aid in social outreach.
We presently aid three important areas: Amos House in
Providence, McAuley Ministries in Providence and also
provide a social safety net for our own sustaining
member in time of momentary crisis within their lives by
assisting with food and life sustaining bills which may
occur.
This parish also
sponsors special events in which 100% of the proceeds go
directly to social outreach initiatives.

In addition, we collect both
clothing and foodstuffs in bins located at the entrance to the
church. These items are also donated regularly to Amos House for
either use in their kitchen or distribution to those in need of
clothing.
Social outreach is important and we do note
that many of our members have for many years assisted at area
soup kitchens and various outreach venues within the greater
Providence - Cranston area.
If you seek out a community
with a social awareness, our community may provide a wonderful
home for you.
Parishioners and friends of Saint Patrick Catholic Church
do make a difference in the community in which they live.
